TAITEN SHIRAGIKU by Shiragiku Shuzo
Founded in 1886, the sake is named after a typical Japanese autumn flower. When sake ripens in autumn, the Shiragiku flowers are also in full bloom. Taiten was prefixed to celebrate its winning of an honor prize at a national competition in the year of the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Showa (Showa no Gotaiten).
Located in the town of Sakagura, in Okayama prefecture, the sake brewing season is heralded by clouds flowing down the mountainside.
